Re: Big T-28 ?

A lot of companies sell the T28, and FP has sold the most common Big28. Considering that the 16g is cheaper, but you need install parts.. it's a toss up between the two. The FP Big28 is supposed to flow 37lbs/min. For around the same price, the EVO 3 16g is flowing more, up past 40lbs/min in some cases. I'd recommend 16g, as would a few others.

Like Joe said, the evo 16g flows more, and that means potential for more horsepower. The t-28 is a popular upgrade for a "sleeper" car because it looks similar to the t-25. There aren't many reasons to choose a 28 over a 16g.

The evo has a higher potential hp and is cheaper.

Re: Big T-28 ?

Also I feel the 16G will last longer. The T28 has a smaller shaft and a bigger wheel so it can brake.

Re: Big T-28 ?

Ok i found a guy who will sell me the Evo3 16g and the Mani, O2 housing and the 510 injectors......whats a good price to offer him for these.....and he says the turbo has about 10k on it.

How does the Turbo look from the Pic ?? he said theirs no shaft play and no smokeing.....said its all in awsome shape. im suposed to make him an offer but i havnt been in this hobby very long so i dont really know what i should offer. any help on a price i should throw at him would be dandy and also at what price should i stop ( whats to high for all this ).

Re: Big T-28 ?

I have never heard of 510cc injectors. Might want to ask about that. Why is he selling the manifold and O2 housing? Are they ported, or just the stock ones?

From what I can see in the picture, the turbo looks OK. I would check the shaft play myself.

Re: Big T-28 ?

510s come on some JdM yO motors.

I will also recomend the EVO3 16g over the T28. The only time I would recomend the T28 is if you are racing in a specific class that requires a stock looking turbo (common in autox). Ask any of the T28 owners that upgraded to a 16g to tell you why they switched.

Re: Big T-28 ?

The WG actuator is there, you just cant see it. It would help if the picture wasnt 5 miles away. Also make sure it comes with a J pipe. Depending on how nice everything is it could be worth between $5-600. Your money, your offer.

Re: Big T-28 ?

J pipe is the lower intercooler piping. Goes from the compressor outlet to the stock sidemount intercooler. The stock pipe does not fit. It is part of the '16g install kit'
