Question Scratches on windows

I have noticed verticle scratches on the windows of both driver's side doors. Rear window even makes a funny noise while going up & down. If I had to guess, I'd say something in the door panel is scratching my windows! Has anyone else encountered this? I will be headed to the dealer soon to have it checked out.

Re: Scratches on windows

I have it too... I just thought I had caught a pebble or something in the weatherstripping and caused it to scratch when I put my window down... Please find out and let us know.
Do you have a link for the bulletin?

Re: Scratches on windows

Mine had the same problem when I picked it up new. Dealer said it is a common problem. Because the weather stripping is so tight by the window, any sand or pebble will get stuck and scratch the window. They did replace mine, however it was brand new.... Here is a link to the TSB's, however nothing mentioned about it......

GM Bulletin #04-08-64-012B dated 11/04 covers '02 through '04 year model. Got this from another forum, I figure since we all have the same toy this may help.

Update: The dealership is ordering the front driver side window, rear window and moldings.

Thanks for the orginal post, thought I had to live with the scratches. The dealership I go to is great as well. The salesperson (Marty) saw my TB in the lot and found me in the service area. He told me to call him when the parts are in and he will pick up my TB at work. The product may have minor issues, but the service I get sure out ways them.
