Unhappy Wow what a night... long rambling

So yeah I take off this weekend from boston to visit the family in PA, Well I thought I had off work today, heh apparently not so I got a call at like 3:40 pm about that, thinking great now I get to deal with that shit tommorrow.

Later on at about 6pm I start on my way back to Mass. make it across the newyork border, I was doin 65-75 most of the way, well with my luck I just happen to pass a cop doing 79 in a 65, so I'm thinking now "Shit I wonder how much this is gonna cost, and will I still be able to pay bills" won't know how much it is for 2 more months, may plead not guilty and hope the cop doesn't show! Besides the fact there was a car a bit infront of me and 3 right behind me!

So as it stands, I'm not 100 percent sure I have a job tommorrow, most likely a writeup but you never know, and I got a huge ticket great.

On with the trip I go. I made it through Conn. without insident, watching my speed real close just following the big trucks ( my speedo is actually off by 10 mph it says I'm going faster than I am) back to the point I make it just past the Mass. border and guess what! another fucking cop trailing me and then one off to the side clocks me again!

I wasn't speeding I know that much, so I'm like ladie what did I do now???? She's like I'll tell you when you show me id, mean while I'm trying to remember where I put it last time I got pulled over. Then the bitch is like your eyes are blood shot, I'm like yeah I've been driving 6 hours I'm tired and its been a long day, long story short the fuckers search my car, I'm like all you'll find is tools and clothes (forgot the mention the illegal fireworks oops) I end up getting a warning for a "defective exhaust" what a waste of my fucking time!

Bastards have no respect for those who do work hard and try to be good on the streets, I wasn't racing or excessivly speeding, weaving in and out of traffic, I was just driving the fuck along minding my god damned bussiness.

Sorry for the rant, its been a long frustrating, depressing, angering and fucked up day in general

Re: Re: Wow what a night... long rambling

i'm sorry to hear all that

once jer and i were in the next town maybe 20 mi from home. this is back when he had a mazada b2200 truck. he didn't have any burnt out tail lights when we got there...when he hopped in his truck to go home one of the lights was toasted. on the way home (i was following him in my car) he got pulled over 3 times!!! the last time was just blocks from our house. he got the same "your eyes are red we need to search your truck" of course they came up with nothing. that sucked!

so i hear the trick is to get an extension on the court date in hopes the cop won't bother showing up for the reassigned date. i dunno if this works though...never tried it.

damn.. you guys get you cars searched if you eyes are red... wow what kind of BS is that... here in canada they need Probable cause to justify the search... bloodshot eyes is not reasonable cause for a search.

also if you have a hatchback with the cover on it they need a warrant to search the truck... unless you let them.

If he got even 1 ticket he could have fought it and claimed harassment. I used to work with a girl who's bf got pulled over 3 times in a matter of an hour; for speeding (yes speeding 3 times). He called his lawyer, went to court, and all tickets were dropped. Judge said that it was very possible that the cops radioed eachother and told eachother to watch him, so it was considered harassment and something else (I get too confused by that legal mumbo-jumbo).

But definently fight the ticket, stick it to the man where it hurts the most. "We need more chairs at the court house. Let's pull over as many people as possible; so even in they're guilty, they still have to pay the processing fee." They'll find a way to screw you everytime.

Yeah I didn't think blood shot eyes was probable cause either, I'll have to keep that in mind

And if you keep a lock on your glove box, they can't open it without a warrent. Or any kind of container with a lock on it. But they can bring in the dogs and if they smell "something" they don't need a warrent anymore. I didn't know about the hatch cover though.
