Air Bag Deployment,

Hey I know someone on here must have wrecked a saturn before,

My question is: How does the drivers side air bag deploy, does the cover over it split verically down the inset line, or does the cover pop up/down (I think it pops down...)?

I saw a totaled one just a few days ago, but can't remember,
I have a spare Saturn Badge (from the wrecked Saturn) that I was going to hang on my wall, but my brother just suggested that I cover my painted insignia on the Steering Wheel (normally inset, but I painted it), Just went and sized it, it looks good, but not good enough to risk it being pounded into my face...

it will crack, up & down and across. but there is only one way to find out whether or not you a permenint saturn fan....

I think I will mount it despite the risk, and to minimize the risk, I'll adhere it by the corners, one corner heavy, that way I hope it will pop to one side,

i haven't seen this wheel apart before, so i can only guess, i'm not sure how the embulm will split

i wrecked a 99 SL2 air bags came out after i hit a curb.

Didn't glue it down, but it has a small plastic piece stickin off the back of it, so I poked a small hole in the inset emblem on the wheel and stuck it on there
