A 94 with a USDM H22 has 190hp and 158tq - 1/4 mile claims run from high 14's to low 15's (but guys with track experience say they see stock ludes running 15.5's and up). 0-60 mph in about 6.2 secs.

Most JDM H22's put out between 200-210hp (depends on which year), so your Lude should run a slightly better 1/4 mile. H22's are good strong engines - a few minor mods can really wake it up.

The JDM F22B puts out the same horsepower as the H23 (160), but is lacking on the torque side (148lbs/ft, as opposed to the H23's 156lbs/ft)

Only a small difference, so I would say that your car is the equivalent of a Prelude Si. Which should be good for a high 15, I believe.

Re: What can the Prelude Really Do?

Yup, your right on the power figures, and your right on the estimated quarter mile too.

Re: What can the Prelude Really Do?

I have the stock f22a4 5spd 92 lude, well i have a magna flow exhaust and the resonator cut off and i ran my best time of a 15.86 avg was a 15.95-16.12....so a low 15 on a h22 is not that great..dont get me wrong a 10th of a sec is a car length but still on 5-8 car lengths in a quarter just for 1 extra cam and vtec.....i am going to put forged sleeves, pistons, and rods. balance the crank to .5grams put a different cam from f22parts.com, shave the head .010 to get a good mating surface might port and polish but i doubt, run a turbo set up with a turbo timer daily driven setup i am looking at around 11psi and track i wont 18-22psi...the f22 is a lot better to build up bc it has thick cylinder walls and it has a good stroke so its a pretty torqueful engine. 117whp and 130wftp ...im looking for a low 11 in the quarter by this summer after droping bout 7.5k and my own labor minus the tuner
