gm tranny fluid

i am looking into the gm syncromesh . so i went to the dealer and i asked for high milage tranny oil and they said the only one they use is the syncromesh. is that what i need . just the regular tranny oil for gm. oh and it is 10 bucks plus tax. so i asume it is that but i wanted to make sure.
thanks

Re: gm tranny fluid

if you wanna go cheaper, just look for the Pennzoil Synchromesh; the people in the oil forums say its the same thing/they make GM's fluid, and it costs about $5 per quart.

I also use synchromesh fluid(pennzoil), and it does work good.

ya i am gonna look into the pennzoil stuff. i guess any auto parts will have it?
i find it weird that all gm cars have this oil but the honda don't.

Honda had its own blend, which I hear is just 10w30 oil in a different bottle...
