houstin..theres a problem...come on guys!!

..ok ijust did the mini-me swap with my 90 dx, i put in a z6 outta a 92 si an i got everything done an the car started up an ran for a couple minutes an white smoke came out from the front of the block ..like under the exaust mani an then the car just shut off ??

now the ecu doesnt give me codes an the engine light comes rite on ?? wut the hell? it wont even turn the engine ...mabey its a ground or something...thanx guys

uhh sounds like a leak between the head and the block, white smoke is burned coolant. I would have to guess that you have little or no compression right now.

Did you do a mini-me or a Z6 swap? Deff. sounds like a coolant leak. Did you use a new headgasket?

Since its a mini me swap, my guess is the head gasket... Did u torque the head bolts down to spec and in the right order?

ya ..i just did the mini-me swap..and stupid fukin me i usd the head gasket from the 92 si ..but it looked in pretty good condition?...well that must be it then..well i guess im gon have to tear apart the head from the block and throw a new head gasket in that is if nothin is fried..oh well ..i guess u learn from ur mistakes..haha well thanks guys ..if u have any other comments on this subject ...send away...taker' easy lads

and yes i put in the head bolts all in correctly in order and the right tourque...damb this sucks...well wut can udo ..ill let u guys no how it went tomorrow

When you get a new headgasket get one for a 92 Si (metal and recommended for rebuilds).

Yea, anytime u take off the head, its always best to use a brand new head gasket atleast, and if possible a new set of bolts too... Even if it looks good, it will never make the same kind of contact again because the seal has been broken...

ya i think i burnt me ecu to because its not flashing eny codes an it dosent give that quick little flash wen u turn the key a knotch...wut the hell...an i pulled a plug to see if there was ed spark...nothin...the distributor is brand new..??? i just did the mini-me swap and dpfi to mpfi so mabey there was a short curcut from some bad wiring or something...wut do u think? thanx...an the oil in the head is a light greyish colour ..im thinkin its got mixed with coolent??but how..its turning over to but not fireing..i dont understand it was running then this happends...well thanx guys

no ...the ecu fuse didnt blow...an well guess theres coolent in the oil..no clue how it got there now i'm just gonna be takin erything apart an do it again..it may be a wiring problem so im just gonna go thru everything again soo ..i'll be writin' ..to keep ya up to date
