Reconstructed title? I've never heard of that before. Do you mean salvaged title? I would not buy a car that has a salvaged title unless it's really cheap. You should check how much the car's worth at www.kbb.com Forgot the other sites I used to check for car prices. Does the car have any problems, anything changed, did the owner do the 60K mile tune-up?

Hmm.... I don't really like the sound of a "reconstructed title." If you really want it, do a carfax on it and get it checked out. Carfax saved my ass on a gsx I was going to buy. Turned out that the car was already in 3 accidents and 2 of which caused the airbags to deploy. So, definately do a carfax on it.

Re: Good Deal?

run car fax. it will tell you what it was branded for. defently take it to a mitsubishi dealership and have them do a $50 used vehical inspection. just tell them you will fix anything they find, have them put it on a work order and leave with a cost of how much it will be.

whatever KBB private party is on the car, cut it in half and you have what you should pay for the car!

Re: Good Deal?

reconstructed (R) title just means that it had a salvage title and was repaired and relicensed. on its own its not a bad thing but it does mine that the car was declared "totaled" at some point by the insurence company.

It's the stuff you have to replace/check at 60,000 miles.

Try to find out why the car was totaled. A flood might not be terribly important but if the frame is bent from an accident you won't want it.

Re: Good Deal?

flood cars suck. they usually have weird intermittant electrical problems that are a royal pain in the ass to track down.
