Re: Need Help With Cold Air Intake
yup, you did it right. looks like the bottom pipe gave you a pain. cold air kits are slightly more difficlut to install than a ram air kit, but its worth it. keep modifing and practicing.

Re: Need Help With Cold Air Intake
It kind of looks like you have the bottom piece on upside down. Not sure about 97s but older hondas have the CAI bottom piece exit through the front part of the fenderwell... where yours exits seems a bit close to the exhaust to do much good.

This isnt my car and it isnt a civic, but it still gives you an idea of the way it should run. ![]() I'm sure all civics are the same. Mines a 2000 model and the only difference I can think of are the headlights and other exterior differences. But overall the frame of the car should be the same. If you still decide to keep the CAI you should buy a bypass valve like this one. ![]() This keeps all that rain water or any water in general to get sucked up in your car. But personally, I just modified my CAI to a short ram because the bypass valve didnt seem to be very effective and I still sucked up water. But thats just me, I'm sure other people have had better experiences. Good luck with this. Late.

Re: Need Help With Cold Air Intake
when it rains you're going to be SOL...you'll probably ruin the engine.
