question about D15b vtec swap
I have a 89 crx dx can i use a 90 si Tranny with a stage 2 clutch for an 90-91 si and 90-91 lightend flywheel? I was told that the si tranny would have to be a 89 and the clutch would have to be for a 89 also

Its all dependant on the tranny... So if u use an 89 tranny, u have to use an 89 clutch... It has less splines on them than the 88 and up... But since u want to use a 90 tranny, then yes, u can use a 90+ clutch and flywheel... And either will bolt onto a D15B VTEC since they are D series trannies... And an Si is definately reccomended for the gear ratio... |

Also get the clutch kit for the flywheel, is you use the 92-95 flywheel then use that clutch kit just get a cable tranny throwout bearing. If you use the 90 flywheel then get that clutch kit. One is a recessed flywheel and the other one isn't
