Question sunbird stall

my 1992 sunbird stalls after i have been driving it for long periods of time. it will keep going when i shift down manually. any suggestions?

Yes, unplug the torque convertor clutch solenoid located on the top of the transmission and you should be fine. You can either drive without it or you can purchase a new one and fix it for about $50.

driving without it means gas mileage will drop, I don't think a whole lot, but enough to see. These days, it's best to get something like that fixed or pay at the pump.
