transfer case help
ok im a bit weak on awd systems so i have a question. i heard a lot about really high hp skylines around the world like 600+ hp. i was wonderind at that kind of hp would you have to mess with the transfer case at all? like is the skyline transfer cases chain driven and if so what would be done to convert it? this is a knowlage question i ran a search but could not find a thing. im just wanting to know what these people did. thanks for the help

Most of the guys around here do nothing to their transfer case. There are a few pics of blowm ones on gtr.co.uk and some threads over there.

Generally speaking, people dont have problems with the transfercase, as they dont try and send too much power though it. It uses a clutch, and has a little bit of slippage which equals driveline surviving.
When they do go, normally its clutchpacks. |
