I need some help. I have a 91 camaro Z28 with a 350 Tuned Port Injection. Yes, that's right, I have 8 fuel injectors and none of them work. I checked fuel pressure, spark, etc. I tore apart the intake and figured out that the fuel injectors are not working because the computer is not turning them on. I have no trouble codes set. ANY IDEAS. The engine is cranking but not starting. Prior to figuring this out, the ign coil, ign module, and the pickup coil has been changed to get back spark. If I pour gas into the intake, it will start. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Re: Help me with 91 Z28
You checked fuel pressure at the engine right? So it couldn't be simple and be the fuel filter?

Check the injector fuses in the fuse block.
If they are ok then your ECM isn't seeing the refrence pulse from the ignition module, when this happens it will not fire the injectors. If you didn't replace the module with an AC delco, you should have. Check the wire from the module to the ECM for continuity, if it is good it is either the module or the ECM. |

I had just about given up. I changed the ign module and bam it started up. I had ruled it out since I had changed it previously. Thanks again. After 6 months of messing with it, it's ALIVE again. |
