Power Windows

I am looking to replace both driver and passenger side power window motors for my 94 Z, but I can't find a good place to get them from. I looked at jwwhitney, but they advertise a "front wheel drive" camaro, so I'm skeptical about their products. Anyone know of a credible place that I can get them from for a good price? Thanks for the help.

(I am also looking for window stabilizers because when my window is down, it rattles with the speaker in the door.)

Also...How do you know if window problems are motor-related are regulator-related? I don't want to replace something that isn't broken.

Re: Power Windows

I just bought mine from a parts store for like $50, other wise check on E-bay I know I've seen a bunch of them on there lately.

Usually if the motor is going out the window will go a little ways then stop and won't work again for about 5 minutes.

Hi everybody,

I'm sorry I can't help you out but I have a question about the windows... When down or up them, the right window goes slower than mine... Do you have the same problem? (I have a 97 RS)

Sorry about that... It's not a real problem to me but it's a lil' weird.

Have a nice day and good luck for your reseach.

Re: Power Windows

If your car still has the original window regulators in it, it is very possible that this is your problem. My firebird is a 98 and I had to replace mine over this past winter. There have been numerous threads about this and one has a good step by step guide to this, i'll do a search and then post a link for it.

I got mine at Advanced Auto Parts, they were $56 and I think they have a lifetime warrenty

here is the link for the step by step guide http://shbox.com/page/windowmotor.html

I don't know how the prices are compared to other web sites, but look on www.ebay.com, www.hawksthirdgenparts.com, and www.fbodymotorsports.com. Good area for Camaro's..
