Post location for the heat sensor temp guage?

Looking for the senor in the block that controls the temp
guage,, my book shows the 3.0 location but not the 3.8
can someone give me idea like; " next to the so in so,...

Manual shows it to be the front left of engine. There is a 2 wire connector going to it, It should be located close to the thermostat housing. Good luck.

On the 3.8. Follow the top radiator hose to the engine block. Thermostate housing and the sensor is here. It will be on the right side (facing front of car) right in the vicinity of the EGR. VM
