2000 Impala Won't Start

Hello To All

I Bought Two 2000 Impala To Built One. I Changed The Interior On One And Disconnected The Ignition Switch. The Car Is An Ex Police Car. Some One Started To Cut The Interior Wires For The Cops Computer. Now When I Turn The Key To The Run Position I Don't Get The Check Engine Light And Doesn't Crank.i Check All The Is Says To Check On The This Forum. This Was All Done With The Battery Connected. Does Anyone Think I Shorted The Igniton Switch. Also It Says To Chance The Cbm Where Is It Located. Last Question Can I Put The Switch From The Other Impala And I Don't See A Separate Connector For The Three Little Wires That Comes Straight From The Ignition Switch I See Two Big Plugs But Thats It. Is There A Separate Connector.
