smog pump question

i just put an off road x pipe on my 1994 mustang gt. the smog pump tube was not lining up right with the new xpipe so i yanked the smog pump tube out. now should i plug the smog pump or leave it unplugged??

Buy the smog pump eliminator bracket through www.summitracing.com I did and it keeps the same belt length and removes the damned thing completely.

i was planning on doing that eventually but was looking to get a cat back first.. then doing that.
