Re: Fuel pump and fuel injectors on 94 Z28... Help???

24 lb injectors and the fuel pressure is supposed to be 44 or so priming and 38 after it's done priming, and about 38 when idling i'm pretty sure. Getting the pump outa the tank is easy, droppign the tank is the hard part. Also injector swap is easy, make sure to let the pressure of the fuel rails (there is a schrader (sp) valve you can bleed gas out of) and the take the 4 bolts out of the fuel rails, pull the injectors and fuel rails up and then pop the retaining clips off the injectors and pull them out. Just be careful when you put the new injectors in to not mess up the o-rings.

Re: Fuel pump and fuel injectors on 94 Z28... Help???

thanks alot Will i appreciate the help, i was gonna go with bigger injectors but there is no point unless im running a SC or stoker engine or something so i'll stick with the stock ones... i had the engine code 64 come up in a diagnostic... its suppose to be either fuel pump or fuel injectors so i might just do the fuel injectors first and hope that does the trick... would a fuel pump not working properly make ur car drop at least 5 mpg or would it be more likely that the injectors would cause that problem?

Thanks for the link StlBlues. That diagram looks to be really helpful.
