Have you checked for power at the motor? If so then you' ve had the doorpanel off and been inside the door. Good, Typically there are two retainers that hold the window to the regulator/track/mechanism. If you take those two fasteners loose you should be able to raise the window up the track to close it, but you also have to have something to hold it up there, like small c-clamps or vise grips, just make sure to protect the glass from any metallic contact, don't want to chip the edge of the glass. You may want to check your switches to make sure they are not sticking in the UP or DOWN position. This will heat up the overload protector and not let the window operate. Other than that I'd check for a good ground thru to the door and to the body. Quick tip, I use my 7.2v Makita battery and a couple jumper wires to test motors in the car. Typically there are only two wires to the motor, One + and one - for UP, and polarity switched for DOWN. Blue wire (think blue sky) is + for UP, and Brown wire (think dirt brown) is + for DOWN.
