clutch proglems

when i engage/disengage my clutch there is a squeeking noise..you can only hear it if the engine isnt runing and you are quiet. also, when i start my truck the clutch pedal is loose for the 1st 2 or so inches and then i can feel pressure in the pedal again. after driving for a bit this looseness seems to go away and everything is the way it should be. what could be causing these 2 problems?

Re: clutch proglems

noise is the release bearing. pedal play may be a few things but if i had to guess i'd say the clutch plate is warped unless the problem is hydraulic

Re: clutch proglems

Ever check your clutch fluid?

Resevoir should be driver's side back corner.

I suggest you check the level.
