Coil Pack and Crank Sensor Question

Could a crank sensor cause 1 of the 2 coil packs to have weak spark or is it just a bad coil. Thanks

My guess is bad coil(s). The sensor simply acts as a trigger. It operates in either a full on; or a full off state; so the trigger itself is usually works; or does'nt. Bad coils can usually vary in output, depending on the available voltage input, and condition of each unit.
The crank sensor should produce a fault when it fails; whereas the coils will often produce no code until engine diagnostics detect other components performance going way down.
