Hi everyone and good morning to all, Have a 90 88 just turned 138k, Recently it started sounding like it was hollow. I replace the ignition module, oxygen sensor, plugs and wire. Thermostat, i took it to someone and they did the paper clips and they got a code 25 and they said it was the ignition module which i went out and bought, when i replaced the old one it looked melted, so i assumed that was the problem after running the car a bit the service engine soon light came on i did the paper clip thing (code 26)went to www.troublecodes.net and got quad train sensor.
The car runs great has not stalled or anything just sounds rough when giving it gas. picks up nicely and runs good. And starts everytime. Can anyone tell me where the quad train sensor is? and has anyone experience this problem? Your input would be greatly appreciated i love this car and don't want to run it until i fix the problem Thanks all Tone PS the service engine light stays on now all the time.. please email me direct if you guys want.. Re: code 26 Quad Train Sensor
Quote:
Yo. Code 26 refers to a "quad driver module" integral to the ecm on your vehicle. Quad drivers control specific relays or solenoids by grounding their circuits (egr, tcc, etc.) Basic diagnosis involves isolating which quad driver is at fault, as there is 4 in your ecm, and testing the circuits and components. Typically the ecm is the problem, but prove the wiring is ok before blaming the ecm. |
