expected behavior

i dont mean any disresepct and this may sound like im shooting myself in the foot but if a newbie cant take the heat then what is he/she doing here. im not saying that they should be hazed but its expected to get at least a little trouble when youre the new guy. and again im not trying to cause trouble, i just think it should be said.

Re: expected behavior

well it depends, cuz there are noobs then there are NOOBS. If someone comes on here and has owned alot of 240's and done all types of swaps and work and wtf ever else he would still be a noob to the forum yes but not a noob to 240s.

Now NOOBS are the people who come on here with no 240(not saying if you dont own a 240 your a noob) and rant about all the damn shit they want and dream of. But all the shit they want and dream of is so far fetched and will never happen for them. I think you guys know what i mean. There are people on here with no 240's but i dont consider them noobs cuz they have common sense of the shit. But there are some prime examples of what im talking about. Like the gay skyline thread down the board. That is noobish. No personal effort in research was done, just post and dream......that is when guys get flamed.

This is a forum for people who like anything automotive. A place where we can all get/give help. Also a place where we can discuss car related stories, events, and races.

This is not a Frat house guys. There is no need to "Haze" a new member

What is is going to accomplish? Do you think that it is going to establish your "internet rank" on these forums? nope.

P.S. I want to thank D-bo for handling his ban professionally and getting ahold of me to talk about it instead of getting ahold of me and calling me everything but a white boy . I would of lifted the ban sooner but I had some other things to attend to. bz month getting the Grand National ready for race season.

Re: expected behavior

I would just like to point out that it's give/get, not get/get, I haven't been here long, but it seems that there are a few people who come on here and only ask questions that they could get the answer to with 5 minutes of google research, or they ask an inane question like "which engine is the best?", these are the people that cause problems. They contribute nothing to the forum.

Prime example of someone that needs some damn sense knocked into them. Seriously, I want to know why they think it's a good idea to post a question about getting stickers made in a 240SX FORUM

I've given people shit on here plenty in the past, but like what has already been said, it's only been when it was "called for". People come on here asking stupid shit like "What's the max HP I can get out of a CA18?".... Come on now, how is anybody going to give an answer to that? Or the many "What engine is better" threads. If someone is asking a serious question that they really need to know the answer to and obviously can't find it with a simple google search, then there would of course be no reason for him to get flamed. Some people just deserve it though.

simple if it bugs you that much, don't post in the thread...

You know the people who put up thoes threads are doing that on purpouse.

bottom line is that automotiveforums.com has user guidelines... If you can't follow them your out. Simple as that.

Also.. and I have said this before..... IT'S A DAMN MESSAGE BOARD not a search engine, yes it would be nice if everyone just searched for everything but, people join forums to post not to search.
