main relay problem??

car starts fine but when i take off and slow down to take corners or stop at stop signs ill down shift(sometimes even when i dont but when i slow down)the car feels like it is dying(no gas) ill keep my foot on the gas pedal all the way down and it wont move but after like five seconds it starts to sputter and take off and its all good till i stop or slow down at a corner??

but 2 days before this started happening i was driving and i thought it ran out of gas and it might cause i was low on gas, it died and i couldnt start it but it was trying to crank over but not getting gas then i remove air filter tube from the intake(injector area) and put a rag with gas in there and it would start for a few seconds then die when removed it.
i had someone look at it he said main relay overheated or something but then all the stuff at the top of this thread started happening. then tonight it died again on my friend and not able to start??

please reply hope not too long of thread thanks all

Re: main relay problem??

well when i had the main relay problem, the car wouldnt turn on at some times(the main relay wasnt switching the fuel pump on), but once it got started everything was ok.

i also had a o2 sensor problem, when i would drive on the highway and would have to slow down and accelerate again, the car would shake and such like it was running out of gas.

have you check the ECU for any codes?

Re: main relay problem??

try filling u'r tank all the way and see if the problem persists. could be low on fuel and be cutting out from sloshing in the tank.
