Overheating, high speed fans not kicking in !!!

Hey guys, I have overheating issues when I come off the highway and do some city. My problem is, the fans work but they dont switch to the higher speed by themselves ! I mean they spin. But if my car is cool and I turn the AC on, the fans dont spin at all and they should at high speed, right ? So I think that when it gets hotter, they never spin fast enough to cover the heat. Now, how do I fix that ??

Thx,

Scy

I have same problem, well they spin low, but never kick in fast. If i put AC on tho they spin up a little faster. Um, I talked to GM and they said the fan speed sensor was to blame.

They dont spin faster at all for me, they dont even spin if I start the car and put the AC on... They are supposed to spin when the car is started an you put the ac on, right ? Even if it was just started ?

Fans

Check out the Oldsmobile Silhouette board (cooling fans not moving very fast). This subject is being discussed there.
