Front End Vibration

2000 WIndstar - 79,000 miles

Vibration feels like it is from front end. Feel it in steering wheel but in drivers seat also. Most noticeable between 60MPH and 70MPH. Had tires balanced, front end alignment done.

My thoughts is tie rod ends. Will worn tie rods give vibration like this? Any other thoughts?

Thanks...

Re: Front End Vibration

I just came in here to post what did this on my '96 Windstar. All new tires.....
I knew that I had a warped front brake rotor......
I replaced the rotors and pads.......and the shake is gone.
The rotor was warped due to improper tightening of the lug nuts for the tires......done by a shop.
I found that the rotor was striking the inside pad on each rotation......All my pads were still nice and thick......except the one....which was worn down pretty thin....
I did feel the shaking (pulsing) during moderately hard braking.
