vortec heads, older style block
how hard is it to get vortec heads (l31) to work on an 87 and earlier block???, i am thinking about building a sleeper 305 with the exact same parts in this list, 325 hp isnt bad for a 305

well that site that u linked told u exactly what u would need to put it on an '87 or earlier block, u would need self aligning rocker arms and some center bolt valve covers... other than that u need a different intake manifold but other than that it should be straight forward... good luck w/ ur 305, i like to see guys doing something different

for my reg. centerbolt heads on my 350, i found proform roller rockers from jegs 1.6 ratio, for 198.88, those are self aligning... i think for the vortec heads there either those, or they run about 298.99
