ABS and No traction lights on

My ABS and no traction lights are on ..... no idea why, sometimes they come on right away, sometimes i'll drive for a bit first then they come on, sometimes they don't come on at all
Any ideas
someone please help

Wheel speed sensor/abs sensor. Take it to a shop with a tech 2 and theyll drive it til the lights come on and tell you which wheel it is.

The same thing happened on my 99 GA. Turned out to be a bad wheel bearing. If you have a bad wheel bearing you will know it. You'll hear a loud noise coming from which ever bearing is bad.

Yeh like Justin and martina said, it's deffinately either one of two things
1) faulty wheel speed sensor - I had this happen all the time during the winter when getting into slush / water

2) actual bad wheel bearing - like martina said, you will hear it. I replaced all 4 on my GA, and you will hear a pulsating rumbling when you get up to certain speeds. The best way to find out what wheel it's coming from is to have someone else ride with you, and have them move from corner to corner while driving, until you locate the source of the sound.

04 Se, I had the same issue, took to dealer, it is actually there for the 5th time on this issue, they took off the codes, replaced the ebcm, re-ran wiring, and now on Friday I think they found the issue, they found that the fuse box in the engine compartment that has the fuse for the abs / trac system was bad, they are replacing and say I'll have her back monday. This has been an issue since i turned 4,800 miles, I drive alot for work and it seemed to happed every 3-4,000. When I visited the dealer to p/u a loaner car for the weekend they shoed me the issue, the had a fuse tap in one side and it was tight (power side) and the other side was real loose, so they think that is what the problem is, I hope it is since I'm burning through my warrenty. Hope this helps

knuke, I don't want to sound like a kill joy, but if I were you I would think about changing dealerships for service work, 5 attempts to track down a problem like that seems excessive, with all of the technology in the shops ( stuff that is required by GM that the service department must have) this issue should have been caught in no more than 2 visits. And for them to find the problem sometime on Friday and not being able to get your car to you until Mondat is a bit much. Granted I do not know the complete story but I worked at a Pontiac dealership and I know that they will take their good old time getting a car back to it's owner, that stuff used to drive me nuts...they would even do it to me and I worked there !

Any way, glad to hear that they think they have it worked out the problem.
