HELP! I Cant get the starter out of my 95' S-10

neeed to change the starter on my 95 s10 5 speed 4cyl and i removed the two main bolts and it will not come loose all i see is a bracket towards the front of the starter with two small screws . is this why it is stuck and do i have to loosen the screws on the bracket to get it out or can i remove the bracket attached to the starter ... help me please

95 s-10

I have a 94 2.2 4 cyl . If it's like mine you have to remove part of the exhaust and try an pull it out. Also mine had to be shimmed to fit right. It was cheaper to get a garage to do it, so they could get it on a lift. Otherwise you have to be able to get under it and remove all the parts.

Remove the flyplate inspection cover (2 15mm bolts) and it will come right off.
