Ugly green Subaru: Finished!

So the last time I posted progress on this kit, no one seemed to agree with the color I chose. And to that, I say ! I like the color and that's all that matters. In case you were wondering, the kit is Fujimi's 1/24 Subaru Impreza WRX STi Version IV.

Oh, I guess some pics are in order here.

Looks great, man! I thought I'd be the first with a green scooby, but you beat me to it... Turned out really nice!

ok, i finally get a chance to see this kit in real life..

1st of all, very nice job buddy

but for those who intend to built this kit next.. i suggest carving out the front mesh and replace it with real mesh, then cut out the emblem and glue that back on after.

the kit looks pretty decent, detail is not bad, wheels look decent sized for stock, but man, those headlights really suck... the hasegawa one had such much more realistic reflectors. check out the one I did in the gallery to compare.

but I bet the fujimi one is MUCH more builder friendly... hasegawa sucks..

Otherwise well done. Nice to see another finished kit!

Thanks for the compliments guys! I see a couple people seem to like the green Scooby. Hey, at least I didn't paint it hot pink or pastel yellow...waitaminute, didn't Subaru call that "Blaze Yellow"?! I don't know if they released that color for the new age Impreza WRX outside the states, but over here, it was a "limited edition" or something and I think it looks terrible. I think they should have just gone with the standard yellow you see on Ferrari's, Porsches, and pretty much the only color I've seen ITR's in.

It took me a while to figure out what you meant. At first, I thought you were saying that you weren't angry that I picked that color, but that didn't really make much sense. I assume that by you're not mad for it, you mean you don't like it. People don't use it that way where I live.

That's probably the color I was talking about. In fact, I just saw one today along with a blue one.

Was it that SCIC meet? I saw a bunch of pics on the i-club. I believe there's one of your car there.

i think the kit came out pretty nice.....but i agree w/ pkw1 that the headlights could've been better.......of course, not your fault.....it's just that the tamiya rally wrc versions, the lights look a LOT better......but you built it very well......the color isn't all that bad either.............
