Question air conditioning recharge

99 GTP: Weather was warm last week. Hit the AC and hot air only. Bought a can of 134a and the recharge hose. Where is the low side input for recharging the air conditioning? There's one behind the air cleaner box on the driver's side - recharge hose won't fit; another on the firewall - recharge hose won't fit; and one is a plastic hose with a EVP or EVAP labelled fitting - hose fits, but it won't draw the freon from the can. Any ideas?

Re: air conditioning recharge

The hose should only connect to the correct port. The car must be running and the air conditioner on so that it will draw the coolant into the system. Finally, make sure you punctured the can, sometimes they are hard to puncture and that may be why it is not drawing it into the system.

Check out this web site.
