Soaked Engine Ferrari

I have a question a new $450,000 Ferrari being sold at $40,000 because it has been involved in a street flood with everything in perfect condition but "engine does not start." Does anyone know if such an engine can be restored? Or if so, if it is even repairable?

Re: Soaked Engine Ferrari

The first question would be fresh water or salt water... But in any case, flood cars are big question marks. $40,000 for a $450,000 car is unusal too because I'm sure it would be worth more than that as a parts car. I also can't think of a new Ferrari that cost $450K so I would wonder where this price came from...

Like any car it's repairable. The $40,000 is probably pretty close to being right. But after getting the engine working again and repairing all electrical, interior, etc. You're gonna be paying at least $150,000 probably far more than that. I'm just gonna assume....F50?
