Not too suprizing. Those new Maximas will run 14s in the 1/4 stock. They are pretty quick. A slightly moddified manual Maxima should be able to beat a stock Z28 Auto.

I'm usually defending the domestics, and i will, but not just yet.

Those maximas with the 5 speed really move, i beat one in the Bonneville but it was because i got a way better start then he did.
Anyways, and yeah, like Polygon said they'll beat a stock Camaro,
i have no problems with that. A Camaro SS would've given it a better
run for it's money though.

But if you want to try out a really good race, put that maxima up
against a stock Trans Am with the V8, not the V6. It'll be pretty close
then. Or better yet, put the maxima against the LT1, and see what
domestic muscle can REALLY do!

(The Trans Am would win, but that's just me!)

.

the clip sucked. not only is it blurry, the camera man has some shakey hands!

a new LS1 z28 camaro(98 and up) will run mid to low 13's showroom stock. Even the automatic ones. Stock LS1 camaro's are quicker than stock LT1 camaro's btw.

i admit that the new maxima's are pretty quick but it will take more than a few mods to overcome a z28(assuming both drivers have similar driving skills)

No stock Maxima from 1995 to 2001 even with a five speed will not

beat a automatic Camaro Z-28 from 93 to 2002. Maybe with mods a

Maxima will but not stock. Now the 2002 Maxima 6 speed, thats another

story.

yeah from that clip i thought that it was a fourth gen maxima, 95-99. those are still powered by the VQ30DE. soo those were fast for their time. but the maxima in that clip was fast as hell none the less.
