Sounds like your throttle position sensor, because you're saying it doesnt really go any faster when you hit the gas, right?

Re: Can anyone help?

That's when you press the gas, but the engine hesitates before the car revs up/goes faster or whatever.

Re: Can anyone help?

ok for both of you, third and fourth generation camaros are equipped with on board computers that will tell you what is wrong with the car 90% of the time. With the third gens, you can use a paperclip and the DLC to flash codes on the check engine light.

Unfold a paperclip into a U shape with the ends close together. Then put one end in the two ports on the top row, farthest to the right. the check engine light should turn on and start flashing. the first code it will flash is a code twelve, it will look like this....

Flash - pause - flash flash - pause - pause -
flash - pause - flash flash - pause - pause -
flash - pause - flash flash - pause - pause -

ignore this as its normal. a code twelve is set anytime the key is on and the engine is not running. at this point start counting the flashes, if it flashes another code 12, there are no other codes stored. say for instance you have a code 42, the next flashes you see would look like....

flash - flash - flash - flash - pause - flash - flash -pause - pause -
(repeating two more times)

dont worry if you miss something, because each code is flashed three times giving you the chance to get it right. Once you do this, come back and post what codes you found, and we can probly help you much better.

I already checked for codes. Like I said in my own thread there were no codes, but thanks for trying. What else would you recomend?

Re: Can anyone help?

well, the only other way to make an educated guess is to take it to the dealership and have them hook up a TECH 1 and watch the data in real time. They should be able to see a sensors voltage changing erraticlally and trace the problem.

Coolant temp sensor. If it is reading incorrectly your ECM will be using the wrong fueling table. Speed density systems seem to be very touchy about the CTS (TPI's). The sensor costs a wopping $7 at Advance and takes about 15 minutes to change
