SOHC / DOHC compatibility
This is a stupid question, but, do the parts for the dohc 4.6 Mustang engine work for the sohc 4.6 bird? Not the heads or anything, but, I guess everything else.I have a friend who has a 99 Cobra that was smashed in the and I want to buy some of the parts off his engine. He's keeping his block, the tranny and the heads, and some other Mustang specific stuff.

Like what exactly? Airintake,throttle body, stuff like that? You can use them if you know what your doing.

ok. He has the following:
Underdrive pulley kit Aluminum valve covers Headers (full length) Crosover pipes with no converters He has more, obviously, but this is the stuff that I want to get.
