Specs for '04 SS

Hello, my neighbor just bought a '04 Montecarlo SS, it looks like its a Dale Jr. Edition or something, because it has the number 8, and badges and Dale Jr. stickers/decals in a few diferent places, but one of the things that impressed me the most was the emblems on the sides that say "SUPERCHARGED" . So, what I would like to know are the real specs of that vehicle, cuz it really looks like it could haul some major ass. Thanks a lot everybody.

Wow, thats it? I was expecting a little bit more than that, since the price tag of that sucker was close to $26K. Thanks a lot.

ur better off buying a used one for like 10k with low miles..lets say a 2001 ss....buy cartuning's turbo kit....6 hours later u will have something like 300 horse at the wheels 350 at the crank....and thats without exhaust work and such... its just better to wait for the 06 ss..if u want v8 power

Very Interesting. What do you mean "at the wheels" and "at the crank" though?

ok horsepower is usually rated at the crank or at the flywheel at the engine..there is always some power loss through the transmission etc.. so the stock monte ss non supercharged has 200 but only about 175-180 makes it to the wheels... so on a supercharged on 240 is at the engine..about 210-220 makes it to the wheels
