Re: my CD player head unit..

Idk if they do but most stock units don't. If not u can get a adapter to take the mistu wires and color code them to right front/back Left front/back. and if you don't have a high end amp u can run your sound back like that. If u have a higher end amp and the stock unit doesn't u need a new head unit or if you car has the disc changer it should have rca jacks. Out of curiosity what kinda system r u giong to run.

Re: my CD player head unit..

what is the RMS of the that L7? Also are u going sealed, ported, or bandpass? Also ponchonutty that is neat never seen nething like that b4. my next system is probably going to be 2 RE SX 15s and a ED nine 1. Maybe just 2 RE SEs. I'm looking for the 150-160db range with sound quality. so probably the SEs.

Re: my CD player head unit..

the kickers can handle a steady stream of 600watts and a peack of 1200 so their pretty good. I think they are going to be sealed i'm looking for a box right now and am finding it hard to find what i want. I would like for it to be ported its just i have no room in the trunk so i have to go with a truck wedge. So that link poncho gave me is what i'll need? With every thing i listed the amp, sub, box, and install kit, I still need to get that adaptor and RCA correct? O and on that link their are 2 things listed do i need them both? and what exactly do they do?

Re: my CD player head unit..

If the 3kgt system doesn't already RCA outs. U should only need the top link if it doesn't. all u need is box, amp, subs, and the rca adapter thing. U should be able to put a box in your trunk i've seen lots of boxes in 3kgt. I myself custom ported to the best level of hz on that particular speaker.

Re: my CD player head unit..

I dont think that any stock cd players come equiped with the ports to hook up subs. Either way, if you are gonna hook up subs you wouldnt want a stock cd player. Cheap but good cd players can be found at http://www.cardiscountstereos.com where i buy all my stuff.

Re: my CD player head unit..

i love that place good for head units alright for subs. But u techically dont need one but yah it helps alot. Don't forget to grab one that had CD-R/CD-RW support and wouldn't hurt to have MP3 support that way u could have alot music on just one cd.
