dash lights all on?

just today my dash lights are on, battery, brake, coolant and i think thats it. everyonce in awhile they flicker. does anybody know what this is? i thought maybe the alternator, because the rpm goes up and down with the wipers. but i took the neg terminal off the batter while it was running to check the alternator, and the car was still running. if it shuts off then you have a bad alternator, at least that was how i was tought to check it.

oh and also noticed since this started my digital a/f gauge runs at like 1.01 or so at wot. before it was like .98 or so.

its your alternator. Mine did the same thing it was only putting out 11 volts. Them 3 dashlights came on in mine to and also would flicker. I had mine rebuilt for $50

I concur on the alternator being bad, when mine went bad I could tell because when I hit the brakes those lights would come on as well as an idle drop then a pick up right after. Good luck with the fix, while your at it might as well check the battery or just change it, I dunno just a thought.

well i have a safc2 and it says 13.8-14.1 on the battery

I would say your alternator. Go get your alternator tested before its too late. My car was having similar problems. I just ignored it and figured i'd deal with it later. A little less than 2 weeks later my car died right as I was turning into a parking lot. My alternator was only reading 9 volts.

found out the alternator wires that plug in where loose the plug was half way off. fixed it thanks for all the advice everybody
