pop!!!

there was a honda civic that passed me as i was driving along the road. and as he changed gears it made this POP!!!! noise.when that happened i thought i had a blown tire. i checked them and they were fine. i caught up to the civic and it poped again. that story brings me to my question, what is that pop noise.

Re: Re: pop!!!

lol, more likely is like CivicSpoon says, exhaust back firing, with a striaght through exhaust system, with no CAT, it will back fire! mine does that alot when I have the silencer taken out, it still does even when I have it in but you cant really hear it

Re: Re: pop!!!

you sure your CAT isn't gone bad or anything?

I have a CAT too but its a stainless hi flow CAT which doesn't do what a CAT should do really and it back fires everytime I shift, when I had the OEM CAT in for MOT test it is fine!
