Garage Fukue SPL Departure II
Hi guys, I currently have Garage Fukue SPL Departure II 85mm with KO Racing T3/T4 turbo kit+downpipe on my car (without CAT.) I think I would get a ticket one of these days. The exhaust is just too loud...it is so annoying. Does anyone have some suggestions to reduce the exhaust noise? Should I custom and add the high flow catelylic converter or resonator to my exhaust to reduce the noise?
Thanks guys, JDMR2 (Got White Smoke?) |

Re: Garage Fukue SPL Departure II
what u could do i put a silencer in the end of the pipe. i got a repair order on my car and put that in and took it the gas station that does inspections and they passed me. its no big deal just 10 bucks to get it inspected. just dont get pulled over and u will have no problem cause cops wont pull u over for just an exhaust. and if a cop is behind you ride in a very very low gear. thats what i do.

Re: Garage Fukue SPL Departure II
make sure that the end of the exhaust tip is beyond the body of the car, if not it will make the car act as an acoustic chamber and your body as a resonator. that takes care of noise inside the car... if it is really noisy outside, a silencer like mentioned... though i don't know where it could go... the best bet would be to just get a more restrictive/quieter muffler.
