supercharger

Hey guys, Im new to the camaro community. Im wanting to supercharge my 96' SS and I wanted some fact or opinions on brands. I found some decent prices on the procharger system and was wondering if any of you LT1 guys had one and what you thought of it. Or if there are better systems for the LT1. Thanks in advance

Prochargers are really good and I wouldn't mind having one on my car.

These guys make a good system too though.

Re: supercharger

With 14 PSI of boost you would have so much air and fuel in the cylinders that when the piston compressed it the fuel would detonate before the spark plug lights it. That's gonna make it knock amd then your engine would probably kill itself. You'd have to run race fuel ike Hypsi said, probably like 110 octane maybe more.

Oh, and technically an intercooler is located between two turbos to cool the air entering the second one. When it's after the turbo or SC and it cools the air entering the engine it is an aftercooler.

yea it's true that it would be considerd the aftercooler. The automotive industry coined it as being the intercooler. Thank Buick for that. They called the aftercooler on the GN's intercooler, it sounds better

Now you might be able to get away with 10-13 maybe even 14 PSI on pump gas and an alcohol injection system.

P.S. intercooler is also when the cooling media is inside the air intake manifold like on the Buick supercharged 3.8's in the GTP's and regal GS's and montie SS's
