Smile 96 grand am leaking water

Hello everyone I posted a thread a few months back in regards to my grand am leaking water on the driver and passenger side floors. Well I finally had it taken care of and it seems that the black plastic piece between the windshield and the hood where the wipers begin, is warped and it is causing the water to run in there and leak in through the heater box. I believe they called that black thing the cow or something or other!! But i took it to a glass place and they resealed it and so far no leaks and it has rained twice. I just wanted to let everyone know in case someone out there is having the same problems I guess it has been very common in the grand ams. So hope this can help someone. I still haven't gotten the horn or the door locks fixed I guess they are next. I hope. ( I have to deal with the car lot I purchased it at to get this stuff fixed and they are trying to get out of fixing anything But I am not letting them lol !) Well all take care and have fun !!!!

Re: 96 grand am leaking water

Hey glad to hear you resolved your leak problem, chapman. That piece is the cowling, or the cowl, not the cow LoL. Good luck dealing with the rest of those problems. Any other problems and don't forget there's plenty of smart guys on AF that can help you out.
