questions on accord

I'm looking around to purchase a 95-97 accord to replace my very annoying VW. This generation of accords appeals visually to my taste most, and I know they're good cars for their time. I know also that these cars are long-lived if treated well, a nice drive, and everyone tells me they're not too difficult to work on.

My questions are:
What should I look out for that's a common problem in accords?
What problem(s) might the seller likely be hiding?
What kind of questions should I ask about this car?
(I know the basics, I mean anything "special")
Do the higher performance models (EX, SE) have less durability than the base model?
How many are too many miles for these mid90s accords?
I commute, and only want a manual for weekends. Are the AT's trustable?
What rip-offs should I be careful about?

And anything else that anyone feels like saying, I'd like the input.
