bulbs: what do you use?

i just got my bumper lights replaced through warranty cuz they're cheap ass plastic so one of them cracked. anyway, since i was at the shop where i get lots of stuff for my car, i decided i'd change up the bulbs for my corners and bumpers to get rid of that crappy looking brown kinda colour from the stock bulbs. i was originally gonna get LED's cuz they're really bright and would last a long time, but they didnt have them for my bumper lights, so i went with some blue xenon ones, and then got some similar ones for my corners. and man am i impressed. the bumper ones look especially good in the day time cuz the blue colour reflects in the lens really well, then the light they make isnt a weak brownish colour, so it looks more modern and just plain awesome.

then after work last night i hit my alarm and the corners flash and holy crap are those things blue. they dont throw much light to actually help me see things when driving, but man does that blue ever glow. about 25 bucks (canadian) for all 6 bulbs and my car gets noticed a whole lot more at night. even with the headlights on, that blue in the corners is just crazy. i wish i could take some pics but i dont know where the usb cable is to hook my cam to my computer.

i think i'll hafta get some xenon headlights soon too..

what bulbs do you have on your car?

sylvania silver star 9006s for the headlights, rest of the bulbs are stock

would the cops give u trouble with blue corners, cause i was goin to put some in, cause they would look real sweet , but the guy at the auto store said that there realy illegal.

yea im thinkin they're illegal, but im in saskatoon in canada, so its not too intense. hopefully i dont get trouble. the blue is so intense its awesome. way more blue colour than i expected.

thats crazy man. why not return the ambers and get some kickass blues? i dont expect much trouble, and im the only one with lights like that, its crazy, i cant even describe how amazingly blue it is. i highly recommend them.

and i got some that are really blue, so they arent too bright, if i were you i'd just get higher intenisty ones, it would make more of a slight blue colour, mine barely provide light to see the road or anything, but they're really blue. really unique, everyone looks at night.

u put them in ur clear corners or bumper lenses? ya theres another white 88 civic dx in PA with those blue lights, and ya man i know what u mean. they look kick ass! maybe ill just keep the ambers and buy the blues, then if the cops give me shit ill just change em back.

yea thats a good plan. i put xenon blue ones in my bumpers, they're a higher intensity so the light they make is closer to white, but have a bluish tinge kinda. the corners each take 2 little 194's i believe, so i put in lower intensity blue ones and they're just blue as hell. honestly if you wanna give your car some new style, those lights just kick ass.

Uhhh.. I have just regular orange bulbs in my signals and corners, and regular headlights but with the 9005 conversion.

They're good! I haaaaaaaate aftermarket lightbulbs.

mine were old and dim and similar to the colour of crap. it was time for a change in the clears for me.
