My friend just got a '98 Camaro with an auto. The car needs tires, so that is first on the list, then he would like the ss magnaflow catback, and a cai, but are there any "free mod" that he can do while he is waiting for the costly ones? There are about 5 ricers at my school that claim they beat v8 camaros all the time, but we know that it isn't possible with their setup. He still doesn't want to race them though until he is absolutely positive that he will smoke them(despite my telling him that it would be impossible for him to lose). So, any free, or near free mods for his car?

hm, first thing that comes to mind is weight reduction. seats, spare and jack are a start..
as for other "free" mods, I know if he takes off the air lid there are fins that a lot of people grind down, and there's a free ram air mod (Search here someone may have mentioned it, if not its all over camarov6.com) and ill get back here with more stuff later
