Stupidity

Stupidity. It has to be the biggest thing that drives more nuts then I was to begin with. I am NOT by any means the sharpest tool in the shed. But my mother has it worse then me. I told her once a car starts to get close to the 100,000 mile mark it stuff starts going bad. I had suggested selling it but that wasn't any good. Now she has spent well over a 1,000 close to 2,000 dollars on it in the past month. The alternator included which was changed today. Now that I am done with my mother on to the mickey mouse cops at school. Due to my alternator bad and my cheapscateism(sp?) I took up two spots so someone can come with my trailer to pick me up just in case my camry didn't start(which almost happened and had my rig on the way). I got out of class early and see the mickey mouse cops writing a ticket for me. I said why are you writing the ticket for he says taking up two spots. I explained to him my reasoning to him which happens to be very logical. Well he says tough shit while I am struggling to get the car started. So I finally get it started and the trailer shows up and me being me I showed him my plan of action. I happen to be extremely good at manuvering going backwards in tight spots but taking up one spot would have made impossible for even more capable drivers. So Basically I just had my friend hop in my car and drive it back while she was doing that I had to fight getting the trailer out of a jack knife which it was needed to line the car up to get the winch inside hooked up. But whats with stupidity. Once again I am not that bright and I am just saying people need to use their commonsense so more. I do and I appear smarter then I really am.

Re: Stupidity

Sorry, but taking up TWO SPOTS regardless of "logic" is wrong. Do you have any idea what it's like to look for parking in a crowded area and find one car taking up two spots? It's aggravating. Maybe parking isn't bad at your school, but taking up two spots is rediculous.

Have you backed up a 28' enclosed car hauler lately with a dually truck. You try doing in tight quarters if you haven't. Needless to say anyother public saftey person came whom patrols the that lot generally and he took care of it. But it's rough. The lot was 1/4 full there were plenty of other spots alot closer. To the walking paths and buildings.

That's when you invent parking spaces. We have this problem at my community college and when I can't find a space...I make one.

More on topic though...I'm not a big fan of stupid people/stupid actions either but they do give the rest of us a really good laugh sometimes.

Oh yeah they do. Like some idiot went over a crossed hatched section of an exit ramp cause he was getting off at the wrong exit so he comes flying back on almost smashing me and my camry. Then we hit traffic and yelled at me for being in his way. I told him next time I will just let him hit me so this way his rates go sky high. He would be paying for the FD to come out and extract, the ambulence corps to come take me to the hospital, and the fees to tow the car away and the car for being totaled.

Re: Stupidity

actually, his insurance would be paying.

Yeah, dood I don't care how great the logic is, I've slashed more tires and keyed more assholes' BMWs and new Eclipses in crowded-ass parking lots because they thought their car was too precious to only take up one spot. So they fuck everybody else over. Good logic or not, that's asking for trouble

Re: Stupidity

When we got my friends 70 chevelle painted, you would be damn sure that car was double parked (not in a busy parking lot mind you). It's one of those deals where if he parked a mile away from a mall... he would come back to 2 cars right next to him extremely close even if there was open space aaallll around him. I don't blame him for trying to keep his car away from other peoples doors and it as worked so far.

Re: Stupidity

You can't take up two spots just because you're having problems. That makes about the same amount of sense as driving down the center line in traffic just because you don't like having anyone beside you.

Thats actually what happened. I was really pissed. The worst part was that one person went totally up to my bumper(you couldnt fit a piece of paper between the two bumpers) then the other two where so close I had to use the dukes of hazard style entry.

People dont open their doors while they drive.

And LANES are a lot larger than parking spaces...
