WIP 70 camaro

Hey guys got a few progress pics for ya. I tried to do atad bit more detail to the engine but nothing to fancy. This will be the first black colored model I've done also. I need to polish out the paint and do some more touch-ups here and there and she will be alomst ready to go. Let me know what you think...

Looks pretty good, what kit is that? I just bought a 1:1 '73 and wanted to do a model of what I want it to look like.

Only one small problem regarding authenticity, I've never seen a Chevy distributor hooked up like that! Next time, check the firing order and hook it up like that, it'll look a lot more realistic. BTW, what did you use to hold the wires down?

Its the 1970&1/2 AMT ERTL kit. I know I didnt do the wires in order, I just did it for looks, plus once I put the breather on you wont see that part anyway. I used a small piece of styrene to hold them down. If you look close enuff you'll see I also just stuck a small black wire on for the throttle cable & the alt wire is just pinched down between glued to the back of the alternator. Ill prolly do the battery wires and mabe a few others...

Re: WIP 70 camaro

Looking good so far. It looks like one of those old cross tire distributor caps and is that a three barrel carb?

Yeah its a 3 barrel carb, Im not quite sure what kit its from though. I just seen it and thought it would look better than one of those standard 2 barrel carbs.

Thanks, my old camera wouldnt show any good detail it was always blurry and the new one almost picks up to much. LOL. The red kind of suprised me to, its actually suppose to be just a regular testors red but for some reason the testors colors I bought the other day are all marked wrong. The red is what you see and the blue is the same way, so Im not sure what to think about it.
