Re: how do find out?

You need to look at your RPO codes for that info. I searched Google quick for ya, but no resulats for a 91 truck. Keep looking and I'm sure you'll find what you need.

I usually stop at the chevy parts counter and give the guy my vin number and he can tell what most of driveline is. If not he'll check out the sticker in the glove compartment. That should tell him everything.

Re: how do find out?

The sticker in the glove compartment tells you EVERYTHING about you truck. How to translate all the codes, I don't know. I know the code beginning with a "u" is your paint code, and I think the "J5" code (if applicable) means you have a 10" rear drum. Other than that sticker in the glove box, the dealership should be able to find the necessary parts/info for your vehicle by the last 8 of your VIN

I have a booklet from Chevrolet that has most of the RPO codes for 1988-1994. If you want to email me the codes from the sticker in your glove box I could give the details to you. Maybe some day I'll get really ambitious and post them here.
