240 sx conversion r34?

hello i'm new here so dont' hate. but i just want to ask if there is a possibility of a 240 converted to r34? i was thinking of purchasing a 1995 240sx. a buddy of mine can get me a r34 kit for about $900 beans, fenders (r34) for $400,tail light and front lights (r34 jdm) for around $900, and a carbon fiber hood (r34) for around like 7$00. now the questions. is the fenders going to fit perfectly on the 240 sx? and if it does would the carbon fiber hood fit as well with the lights? and as for the back lights would i need to buy a r34 back bumper or could i just use the body kit that i'm getting for it be fine? need help A.S.A.P.

Re: 240 sx conversion r34?

you're gonna need a hell of a lot of modification to the 240 to get things to fit.. you're gonna have to make new brackets for the fenders, headlights, taillights, bumpers.. the hood probably won't fit very well at all without major modification because the windshields are different.. for the back bumper, you could probably find a way to get the one you bought on but the actual r34 bumper would be easier.
this sounds like quite the project.. i'm just warning you though, if you're paying someone to do it, you're gonna spend close to $7000.. it will take a VERY long time to get this done.. if you're doing it yourself then give'r, won't be that expensive..
and what are your plans for the engine?? it'd be pretty funny having a r34 converted 240 with no balls..

Re: 240 sx conversion r34?

Bomex just came out with an R34 conversion kit thats pretty fair enough... However the OEM R34 Body work will be way too big to fit on an S14 without an obscene amount of modification.

Bomex is fairly cheap too so Id Expect around 4000$ after everything.

r33 tail lights are my fav. Dont know why, but god damn r33 are my favorite skylines. I would just buy the kit, and bomex is a reliable company so it should somewhat fit good. Iv done a few bomex kits, not the greatest but there a hell of a lot better than cheap ass ones.

That r33 on ebay needs some WAY wider rims, looks funny. I would recomend you go for the project if you have money and drop in RB with it to make it more complete.
And about skylines, R32 rules all.

Re: 240 sx conversion r34?

thanks for your replies.. but now that you mentioned it's gonna be a hassle for body work.. forget about the body, i think i'm gonna go with the motor. jdm rb26dett 6 spd. if i put the motor in will i have awd? or just rwd? and would i have to buy mounts for the motor as well? i'm still new at this swapping stuff... once again thanx!

Re: 240 sx conversion r34?

would you have AWD? swapping an engine doesnt just swap your engine and driveline layout...do you know how a car works?

...ok...

ok...the RB26DETT is very rare and wil most likely never be AWD on a 240. It would Be only RWD and it would require much more custom fab then the RB25DET I suggest you swap in the RB25DET from the Skyline.

Re: 240 sx conversion r34?

If you know you are such a noob, why didn't you do some research before you started talking about your plans? And yeah, you won't have AWD, you will need the RB25 tranny and it'll be RWD, also, you will need custom downpipe/mounts/driveshaft.
