Something other than DSMlink.......?
Ok well my car is doing that random missfire again. I did what Jake said, and put a ground wire from the rectangal like plug (that used to be next to the coil had to relocate it) to the firewall. Well it works, for a little longer now, like 2weeks longer. Then it starts doing it again. It's the 6bolt into a 2g. I have done some serching and I see people talking about DSMlink. Well it's like alomost $600.00 for this damn thing. Is there any thing you guys can think of, or is DSMlink all i have? I am sick of dissconecting my batt. When we first put it in it did it after a week. My ck-engine light is on, but i have an EGR block so I think that is why that comes on.

Re: Something other than DSMlink.......?
I used the baro wire mod for a long time. Just be sure to retune with the AFC or whatever you use for fuel control. Airflow will end up about 25-30% too low from the "modified" baro pressure signal.
knowing what I know now, I would probably take a before measurement of airflow at idle and at WOT (max) to have a reference point for later. After the BARO wire mod is adjusted to get rid of the CELs (adjust it the minimum amount required!) adjust the AC until idle airflow is the same, then for WOT go too rich and lean out until airflow matches. That will have you at least in the ballpark. Why didnt I think of that before...
